We are excited to kick off the Virtual State Tech Sequence Meet and appreciate your support in making this event a success. Below are the key details for video submissions, including deadlines, competition requirements, and judging information.
Video Submission Instructions
- Filming Dates: March 17 and 18
- Upload Deadline: March 18 (End of Day)
- Each gymnast must have a separate submission form.
- Use the dropdown menus in the form to select State, Club, Gymnast Name, and Level before uploading.
- One video per routine is required for each event.
Judging Period: March 19 - 21
Video Recording Guidelines
- Film from a judge’s perspective, ensuring the full routine is visible.
- Judges must verify equipment and mat height. Incorrect setups may require resubmission.
- Reference the video guidelines for proper filming angles.
Routine and Competition Requirements
- Record and submit all six events in one session under competition-like conditions.
- Athletes must wear a competition uniform and salute at the beginning and end of each routine.
- A minimum all-around score of 36.00 is required this season.
- Equipment must meet Development Program Manual specifications.
- Landing surfaces must simulate realistic competition landings:
- Rings and High Bar: If using pits, place mats at competition height for a firm landing.
- Vault: Mats must be adjusted to the correct height, even over a pit.
Submission Method
- All videos must be uploaded via Google Drive through the provided form available on the region 5 men's gymnastics website. (Link above)
- Ensure all submissions meet outlined requirements before uploading.
Scores and Judge Feedback
Coaches will receive a results document with:
- Start values
- E-panel deductions
- Final scores
- Judges’ notes and feedback (if available)
This document is for coaches only. Do not share the link with gymnasts or parents. Instead, copy scores and notes into a separate document before distributing.
Camera Position Reminder
- Keep the camera stationary to capture the full routine. Do not zoom in or track the gymnast during the routine.
- Reference the camera position guide for proper angles.
Hardship Exceptions
If a gymnast is unable to complete all routines in one day due to gym access or other challenges, please request an exception by contacting:
