We are excited to kick off the Virtual State Tech Sequence Meet and appreciate your support in making this event a success. Below are the key details for video submissions, including deadlines, competition requirements, and judging information.

Video Submission Instructions

  • Filming Dates: March 17 and 18
  • Upload Deadline: March 18 (End of Day)
  • Each gymnast must have a separate submission form.
  • Use the dropdown menus in the form to select State, Club, Gymnast Name, and Level before uploading.
  • One video per routine is required for each event.

Judging Period: March 19 - 21

Video Recording Guidelines

  • Film from a judge’s perspective, ensuring the full routine is visible.
  • Judges must verify equipment and mat height. Incorrect setups may require resubmission.
  • Reference the video guidelines for proper filming angles.

Routine and Competition Requirements

  • Record and submit all six events in one session under competition-like conditions.
  • Athletes must wear a competition uniform and salute at the beginning and end of each routine.
  • A minimum all-around score of 36.00 is required this season.
  • Equipment must meet Development Program Manual specifications.
  • Landing surfaces must simulate realistic competition landings:
    • Rings and High Bar: If using pits, place mats at competition height for a firm landing.
    • Vault: Mats must be adjusted to the correct height, even over a pit.

Submission Method

  • All videos must be uploaded via Google Drive through the provided form available on the region 5 men's gymnastics website. (Link above)
  • Ensure all submissions meet outlined requirements before uploading.

Scores and Judge Feedback

Coaches will receive a results document with:

  • Start values
  • E-panel deductions
  • Final scores
  • Judges’ notes and feedback (if available)

This document is for coaches only. Do not share the link with gymnasts or parents. Instead, copy scores and notes into a separate document before distributing.

Camera Position Reminder

  • Keep the camera stationary to capture the full routine. Do not zoom in or track the gymnast during the routine.
  • Reference the camera position guide for proper angles.
